GSS Color Challenge

For my FCCB Cricut Crawl "Back to School" click here
Happy Tuesday Bloggers!  I am here
today to show you a card I made for the
Ginger Snap Scraps Design Team
Color Chllenge.
Whew!
Our challenge was
Light Brown and Dark Red.

I used cardstock and Distress Ink
completely on this card.

Kraft cardstock for the base and mat.
Cream cardstock for everything else.
I used the following inks to color my poinsettia.

I then added a little Mustard Seed
Distress Stickles for a little bling.

The mat was cut from Spellbinders
Romantic Rectangles.  I think this might
end up to be one of my favorites.
The base layer was dry embossed with
a folder, but for the life of me I can't seem
to bring up that information from
my vastly compromised brain cells.  LOL

I appologize for the picture quality.
I went to bed really early last night
and forgot to set my post.
So I am having
to do this at work with what I have.

SHHHH....Don't tell on me...

The poinsettia was cut from
Joys of the Season.
I cut three and inked both sides
and then layered them for a 3D effect.

Here is a close up:

I hope you enjoy it and make sure to
click here to see what my wonderful
DT sisters came up with for this challenge.

Don't forget to check out the
store.
Talk soon....
Until then be safe, and create......

  4. This is beautiful Janea! I love how the kraft pieces are so textured and beautifully punched but with all that details the poinsettia is still the star of the card. It looks real! You did a great job with it.
