FCCB - "Get Organized" Cricut Crawl

 Hello and Happy New Year!

I simply cannot believe we going to begin
2013 tomorrow.  I remember in 1999 all of the hoopla about what would happen when it turned to 2000.  Well folks, we are still here and still crafting!  WooHoo

One very popular resolutions is to get organized.  We have already started over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.

That is your challenge this week.  To create an organizational project using your cricut to make it or decorate it.  Not only is it our challenge we want you to crawl through our blogs and see all of our inspiration.

This was the most difficult project I have ever experienced to photograph.  Sorry! Of course, if I didn't always wait until the dead of night that might help...LOL

I altered a bright pink train case to hold my embossing folders.

On the top I used Basic Grey Soleil collection.
Modge podged a collage of several of the papers I liked.  I also wanted a little unexpected so I used the leopard print ribbon.

The inside of the lid also has the same papers.

Here is where my cricut came in.  I used the Fabulous Finds cartridge and cut file folders out of white card stock.  Embossed them with a folder and then used my distress ink to highlight the embossed area.  Then I store that embossing folder in that file folder.  So I can easily flip through them to see what I have and what I want to use for my projects.  As you can see I have a few more folders to make.  34 to be exact...LOL

We have so many prizes for you this week...
Many of the DT is offering blog candy so make sure you crawl through to everyone.

Here is the line up in case you get lost:

FCCB Challenge #142 Shaped Card

Good Morning
Today I am sharing a shaped card for the Fantabulous Cricut Challenge.

This was one of my cards at my card class this month.  It could easily also be a tag.

I cut the mitten out from Gingerbread cartridge and then added a cuff.  I think most of the mittens on the cartridges look like oven mitts... LOL
The paper is actually a summer line called Dilly Dally from MME Miss Caroline. I always enjoy finding new uses for paper that I like.

Please take a minute to go to Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog and see what the amazing girls on the Design Team have created for your inspiration.  Shaped cards are one of my favorite things.

That's all for today.
Please keep our country and the hurting and grieving in your thoughts and prayers.

FCCB Challenge #140 -Snow

Hello my friends!
Another Monday  and another great challenge over at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.

This week you are challenged to create a project with snow or a snowflake.

My daughter and I participated in a cookie exchange this weekend.  So we spent all Friday night ( and I mean ALL NIGHT until 6 am ) baking cookies and making unique and fun ways to distribute them.  We made turtle cookies and I will post the jars with the Santa Turtles later.

It did however make me think of other food gifts I will be preparing this year and what to put them in.  So, that is how this round box came to be.

It it a kraft paper mache box I purchased at a craft store.  Then I cut out snowflakes with the Christmas cartridge from white cardstock.  I then covered the snowflakes with crystal effects and poured on my favorite glitter.  Martha Stewart coarse glitter in crystal. I love this glitter because it is not iridescent so it does not pick up other colors from its surroundings.  It remains crystal!

Unfortunately, glitter does not photograph very good so you will have to take my word for it that it looks awesome.  I think this box is going to a friend with either candy or carmel corn in it.  YUM!

Stop by and see all the snowy ideas going on at FCCB week and link up your projects.  We love to see all of your creations.

I'm off to work......

at Critter Sketch Challenge Blog.

I used Bazzill, Simple Stories, Bo Bunny
Double Dot and Vintage Photo Distress
Ink.  I truly love the splendor of the colors
of Fall.  I wanted to get one more fall
creation in before we are consumed by Christmas.

Here was my color inspiration:

FCCB #137 Pilgrim's Progress

If you are looking for the Critter Sketch Challenge click here

Hello again!
As you know 29 years ago I became a Pilgrim.  I have raised three little Pilgrims and hope to love up on grand-baby Pilgrims someday....only when they are ready!

When the kids were young they got to dress up as an Indian or a Pilgrim for Thanksgiving lunch at school.  I was so excited.....I have Pilgrims, but of course your kids will always throw you a curve and the boys wanted to be Indians, no matter how much I pleaded with them.  I look back now and do you think it was the hats and the big buckle shoes?????

Anyway, my daughter let me make her a dress and be a Pilgrim.  Thanks Elizabeth, for letting Mom have her moment in the sun!

Now my sweet little Pilgrim girl is about to graduate college, but I always have my photos and my memories!

I used Stretch Your Imagination, B is for Boy, Create a Critter and Thanksgiving to cut the leaves for this layout.

Stop by and link up your projects this week at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog.
I know that the DT has made some wonderful projects you can use for inspiration for your Thanksgiving creations.

Triple Stamp Card Blog Hop

Welcome  to the
Triple Stamp Card Blog Hop

Ashley over at Blog Hop Princess has put
together a crafty group of stampers
to inspire you with their cards!

I have even heard rumor that there is "blog candy"
around for our hoppers!

If you came from Suzanne's blog
you are right in line.  If you just started I encourage you to start here at the beginning.

Now at this time I feel that I should post a disclosure saying that I am not much of a stamper.  I own stamps and ink.  I just don't do it very often.  So I signed up for this hop to push myself a little out of my comfort zone.  And it DID!!!

The lighting wasn't very good and neither
was the photographer.
You can barely see the stamping....
I promise it is there.

I hope you can see it better here!

Well, thanks for stopping by! Please stop by all of the talented stampers blogs and see what they came up for you.  Don't forget to look for the blog candy!

The next stop is
Ashley W.

Guest Designer for Exploring Cricut

If you are looking for my FCCB #135 Seeing Spots post click here!

Hello!  How is everyone?
I am so honored and excited to be a
 Guest Designer at Exploring Cricut!

If you haven't had a chance to check out their
wonderful blog make sure to get over there and
let them know that Janea sent you!

Today I am posting my Pumpkin Patch!
Really it is just a set of Thanksgiving cards.

Okay, I used almost all of my
favorite things for these.

1. Cricut - Pumpkin is on Create a Critter
Leaves are on Paperdolls for Everyday
Tag is on TBB&M (the original)

2. Cuttlebug and folder - Victoria

3. Bo Bunny - Burnt Orange Double Dot

4. Bazzill Card Stock - Parakeet

5. Tim Holtz Distress Ink - Vintage Photo. I stamped the leaves and distressed everything.

There you have it.  Add a button, felt ribbon and some raffia and you are done.

What do you think?  I bet you never thought you could make this type of card from those cartridges!   I challenge you all to get out  one of your carts that you haven't used in a while and find a cut that you would dream is on it.
Then of course use it!  And let me know I will stop by your blog and take a look!

Thanks for stopping by today!
