Today, I wanted to make a card for a serviceman
that I have know since he was a small, small boy. I wanted to let
him know that I am proud of him and am very thankful for the sacrifice he and
his young family make for all of us.
I used the Glory collection from Authentique for the background, United States and the rosettes. The blue dot is from BoBunny....see there it is again. The rosettes were cut from the Tim Holtz die and the United States was cut from the Stand and Salute cricut cartridge. I also used Tim Holtz distress tool and Vintage Photo Distress Ink.

Memorial Day Blog Hop
Welcome to the very first blog hop with the Ginger Snap Scraps Design Team!
This weekend we will be featuring projects all about Memorial Day.
We hope you enjoy all of the great work this Design Team has done and find some summer inspiration. Happy Memorial Day!
If you came from Gabrielle's blog then you are in the right spot!
This is a magnet board I made that I use in my office. I can put a current photo on it and change them out as I want.
I used Bo Bunny paper.....my favorite line.
Here it is with my picture I have on it at the moment. All three of my wonderful children. We were celebrating Brad's college graduation. Elizabeth will graduate college next May and Jacob will graduate high school at the same time. Lots of celebrating in my future. I am sooooo proud of all of them.

Shaped Card
Hello to all!
I am really excited to show you my shaped card I made for my Ginger Snap Scraps DT today! I love the spring and wanted to use a spring theme for this card.
I used the Everyday Paper Dolls cartridge for the card. The card itself is shaped like an umbrella with a cloud floating overhead.
Because of the unusual shape of this card, make sure you measure it from the farthest point to point to make your envelope.
The papers used were from American Crafts and Bo Bunny with a little kraft cardstock. And of course, the usual Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I used Broken China, Squeezed Lemonade and Worn Lipstick. The sentiment I printed on my computer.
I hope you enjoy it and it puts a smile on your face! If I was feeling a little under the weather this would make me feel better. How about you?

Cricut Cuts
Happy Monday,
I hope everyone had a great weekend and Mother's Day! I got a great Mother's Day gift....my husband, friends and my two sons put a new roof on our house. It looks beautiful. I know you are probably thinking....what kind of a gift is that? We really needed it and they worked really hard to put it on. So, in my eyes that is a great gift!
For my post as a Ginger Snap Girl...I made this card for a co-worker's child to give to her teacher last week during Teacher Appreciation Week. I used my Gypsy and Cricut Expression with the Locker Talk cartridge for the card and Just Because Cards cartridge for the envelope.
I hope you enjoy it....
Go to Ginger Snap Scraps blog to see the adorable projects the other Ginger Snap Girls made with their Cricut.

My Creative Ideas Journal / Spring Distress Inks
Happy Monday.....(I say that with sarcasm in my voice)
I don't know about you guys, but I am having a rough Monday morning. I think I partied too hard this weekend for National Scrapbook Day! While partying down at A Memory to Scrap with my happy scrappy friends I did get some projects done. I used my new Tim Holtz Spring Distress Inks and boy do I LOVE THEM!!! The colors are so rich and happy....
On this project I used the Shaded Lilac and Peacock Feathers. I took a not so attractive journal and redesigned it for a special teacher friend for her birthday! She loved it by the way. I also used an American Crafts flower that Cori sent me in my welcome box from Ginger Snap Scraps (thanks Cori). A little ink added to it didn't hurt it either. I hope this will spark your spring creativeness.
Take a stop at Ginger Snap Scraps to see what they have in stock for your next creative adventures!
Visit my team design team sisters at Ginger Snap Scraps blog and see their spring inspired creations. Don't forget to leave them a comment they love to hear from you just like me. Talk to you tomorrow!!!

My Mind's Eye
Happy Friday Everybody!
I am pleased to post my very first project as a Design Team member for Ginger Snap Scraps.
I am pleased to post my very first project as a Design Team member for Ginger Snap Scraps.
This card base was cut with the Art Philosophy Cricut cartridge.
I used the Meadowlark paper line from My Mind's Eye. I just love the versatility of these patterns and colors. You can use it for most any occasion and use any color as an accent. Of course, I can't hardly make anything without my Tim Holtz Distress Ink. I dug in my stash for a few bling, some cardboard hearts, a little rose ribbon and SHAZAM.... a card was born.
I hope you enjoy it.
