Burlap

Hello friends!  Wow!

It has been a couple of busy
weeks. I'm so glad I finally slowed down
enough to post this special wedding gift.

I made this for a wonderful couple
I have known for many years.
Both the bride and groom went
to school with my oldest son.
The groom since kindergarten and
the bride all through high school.

I love them both and wish them all the best!

I designed the quote on my Gypsy and cut
the stencil from vinyl on the Cricut.

The roses are made from burlap and fabric.
I used a sash I found at the thrift store for
gold rose.  The leaves were cut from
a green fabric napkin from the same
thrift store.  I love those stores!

I hope you enjoyed this and it inspires
you to get out of your comfort zone and
do something different!

I did draw a winner for the Perfect Pearls...

Beckie is the winner and I will be
getting that out to her.

Thanks to everyone that participated....

 Talk to you later...
Until then..Be safe and Create!

FCCB #129 End of Summer

Happy Monday Friends!

I am so excited that we finally experienced some fall like weather this weekend.

This week's challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is End of Summer.

The design team created inspiration for you featuring things that remind us of summer.

I took a more literal view and opted to
create my card showing the beginning
and ending of all the seasons.  The end
of one brings the beginning of another
and constantly cycles.

I am reminded of  Ecclesiastes 3:1

To every thing there is a season, and a time to every purpose under the heaven:

I used Gypsy Wanderings for the trees
and leaves, Freshly Picked for the fallen
leaves of fall and the blossoms of spring and CTMH Art Philosophy for the mat.

Other supplies were:

Distress Ink - Mowed Lawn, Salty Ocean,
Picked Raspberry, Spiced Marmalade
and Gathered Twigs.

The base was made from a sheet of
Cosmo Cricket I had in my stash.
This is a very simple card for me and
I'm not sure if I like it or not.
But, it is good to get out of your comfort
zone on occasion.
It spurs your creativity.

I would love to see your projects.
Head over to

and link them up.  Make sure to
check out all of the other inspiration
from the entire design team!

Let me just start with how much I
can't wait for fall.  All of the glorious

cooler weather. The crockpots full
of soups, beans and chili.

With that being said I have a treat

of talented ladies that can’t wait to
share with you their fall wreath that
they created for this fabulous season.
We hope to inspire you and hope you
“fall in love with autumn”!  Enjoy!

I so wish that you could capture this glimmer and sparkle in the pictures.

Cards and Challenges

Hello my wonderful friends!

Today I am posting cards I made
for blog challenges and my card class.

First up is for the Winged Things challenge
over at Crafty Cardmakers.  Your project
can have anything on it as long
as it has wings.

Next, is the one for the Team Spirit
challenge at Connie Can Crop.
Check out my friend Connie's new
challenges on her blog.  This month your
project must include a banner or flag.

Lastly, I am posting this to DL.ART Thankful Thursday challenge. This requires you to
use a flower on your project. I made these
flowers with fabric scraps and
Fabric Tac glue.

This class will be September 14, 2012
at Serendipity.  If you are local
and wish to attend please contact
Michelle by email or Facebook.

I used Authentique "Carefree" collection
for all of the cards for this class.

Thank you for stopping by today!

I will be back soon....
until then....
