Card Class Preview

Hello bloggers!

I wanted to take this time to show you the cards I will be teaching on August 10th at Serendipity Scrapbook Retreat.

For you local gals, if you want to attend please sign up as soon as possible.  I used 2 Bo Bunny lines on these, Anthem and Trail Mix.  You know how I do love the Bo Bunny.

Some of you might remember the lighning bug card from last year.  One of the girls in my class requested that we do it in class this year.  So, I revived it using new papers.  I hope you all enjoy!

This is way prettier in person.....even if
I do have to say so myself. Say It In Crystals...
ROCK

This would be a good card for a male or a female.... I love it when I have options!

And finally, here are those lightning bugs!

I promise I will try to do better about posting.  If you are interested in signing up for this class you can contact Michelle at Serendipity or me at recollectionalley@gmail.com.

Talk to you soon!

Until then....Be safe and Create!

FCCB Challenge #157 3-D Project

Hello!  I am so happy to be back with you my friends.  I have been running around like a chicken with my head cut off.  My youngest son is graduating this yearIt is also his final baseball season.  Not to mention I made his and 4 of his friends graduation announcements by hand this last month.  Whew!
Well enough of my belly aching......
although I could go on and on....LOL

This week over at
Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog
we have a challenge to use your cricut in some way to make a 3-D project.  I used a recycled clear paint can that I received at a retreat which was full of ribbon.  After I put all the ribbon up I thought I might just reuse the can.

I plan to use it as a gift container
for a new bride I know.
That's why we have Lilac roses.

I used several of my favorite things on this project.
Artiste cartridge for the flowers and leaves.
Distress Ink to color both of them.
Bo Bunny paper from Country Garden Collection.
A Bo Bunny doily, burlap and some really cute cork stick pins from Little Yellow Bicycle.
Aren't they adorable?
Do you see those fabulous pearl embellishments?
I got those from my new friend and our wonderful sponsor over at The Trinket Track.
She has the greatest things and I am so excited to be able to use some of my stash now
that I am back to crafting.
Stop in and tell her I sent you.

Make sure to link your projects up over at FCCB
and check out all of the inspiration from the DT.

Talk to you later...

Until then...Be safe and Create!

FCCB Challenge Me Monday - #151

Hello Bloggers!  I am coming off of an entire weekend of crafting with a group of my friends.  It just doesn't get any better than that!  Thanks girls for a great weekend!! Hi Edie, I know you will be reading this. Love you...

Baseball season has started and it is rather bittersweet for me.  First I love baseball....I have been watching at least one of my sons play baseball for 20 years and this is our last season.  So, if I am missing off and on I am probably setting in the cold watching baseball.

This week the challenge at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is to create something with a bird on it.  So here is my take on it:

I have been on a sheet music kick lately.  Oh well, it's really fun to work with.  I cut the bird and the cage from the French Manor cartridge.  I colored the bird with colored pencils and used Vintage Photo Distress Ink on the cage.  I used Bundled Sage Distress Stain to stain the seam binding.  One of my new favorite things!!!

I had some left over petals from one of my card classes and decided that they would be perfect.  Waste not, want not....
my grandma used to tell me.

Stop by FCCB and see what the rest of the design team came up with.  Some of the new design team will be inspiring you today!

Talk to you later...

Until then...Be safe and Create!

Critter Sketch Challenge #151

Hello!  Valentine's Day is just around the corner.  We are having a challenge beginning today at Critter Sketch Challenge Blog.

The challenge this week is a color challenge
 use red and purple together.

I decided to use Valentine's Day as my theme with those colors.

I used my Cricut quite a lot on this card.  The cupid is from Sweethearts cartridge.  Isn't he sweet?  And those flowers, yes from the CTMH Artiste cartridge.  It is quickly becoming one of my favorites.

The leaves are cut from the Royal Leaves Die-namics die.  I folded them and inked them with Brushed Corduroy Distress Ink.

Be sure to link up your red and purple projects at the Critter Sketch Challenge Blog.

StampFairy has provided a $10 gift certificate to spend in the Stampfairy digi shop.  Make sure you enter both this week and next for your chance to win!!

Critter Sketch Challenge #149

Hello my dear friends!

How was your weekend?

Saturday I taught a Cricut Class at A Memory to Scrap in Broken Arrow.  We all had a great time and I think everyone learned a trick or two.  I also worked on my cards for my February card class at Serendipity in Tulsa.

As a matter of fact, I am posting one of them today for my Critter Sketch Challenge.

I love the bright colors of this particular paper.  It it also from the Hopscotch collection from Fancy Pants.

The flower is made from sheet music and Lemon Zest Dylusions Spray Ink.  I absolutely LOVE these sprays.  I am trying to incorporate them more and more in to my projects.

We hope that you have had a chance to check out our fabulous January sponsors. They both have a wide variety of digital images that suit all levels and styles of crafters.  Please make sure you support them as they are the ones who provide the prizes we are give out every month.

FCCB Challenge #145 Sound of Music

Happy Monday!  I am so glad to be able to write this post to you today.  I have had the flu and am finally feeling better.  Whew I hope I NEVER get that again!

Our challenge this week at Fantabulous Cricut Challenge Blog is to use something pertaining to music on your creation.  I was working on my cards for my class at Serendipity and decided to incorporate the music theme.

I used the Hopscotch collection from Fancy Pants for the patterned paper.

Also included are Coordinations cardstock, Vintage Photo Distress Ink, Prima flowers and vintage sheet music.

The base of the card was cut from CTMH Artiste cartridge and the music note is from Quarter Note.

I hope  you take the time to stop by FCCB
and link up your musical creations.

Talk to you later...
